The 91 St. Claude Gallery in New Orleans presents “A Ticker and a Toddler Bite,” an exhibition by 91 instructor Jeremiah Ibarra that opens Saturday, Sept. 10.
Ibarra is currently teaching sculpture in the Fine Arts Department and brings to 91 a passion for clay in a contemporary art setting. Ibarra's work rocks between a focus on the seemingly ordinary and the overtly familiar. His exhibition “A Ticker and a Toddler Bite,” addresses ideas of balance, time, childhood and community as a way to shed light on the fleeting and commonplace.
An opening reception will be held Saturday from 6-9 p.m. at the 91 St. Claude Gallery, 2429 St. Claude Avenue. Regular gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays, noon to 5 p.m. The exhibit will be displayed until Nov. 5.
